Internship in Malta

Finding Housing for Interns

Once you’ve secured your internship placement and know when you’re arriving, get in touch to share what you’re looking for. The Malta housing market moves extremely fast, so having your accommodation sorted as early as possible is a huge relief. You’ll know where you stand and can focus on preparing for the rest of your adventure!

Because I specialise in helping interns and have many properties available specifically for this group, I can secure your room or apartment much earlier than most other agents, with an agent who genuinely understands what interns need. Drop me a message with your requirements and I’ll get straight to work.

Where to Live?

Many interns choose to live close to their internship location. In Malta you can rent a room in a shared house, share an apartment with other interns, or take your own studio or one-bedroom apartment. Sharing is great for meeting people straight away — and very cost-effective.

Have questions about finding a place? Send me a message and I’ll be happy to advise!

Living on Malta

Fun Things to Do

Sun, beach, sea, boat trips, BBQs, late nights — every day has something to offer. Paceville in St. Julians is the island’s entertainment hub, packed with clubs, bars and restaurants. The international crowd means you’ll meet people from all over the world.

Boat parties, open-air festivals and beach events are a regular fixture, especially in summer.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

I’ve been helping interns find housing in Malta for many years and can answer most common questions straight away.

Can I drink tap water in Malta?

Around 70% of Malta’s tap water is desalinated seawater, which gives it an unusual taste. Drinking tap water is safe, but has a funny taste. Bottled water is sold everywhere and very affordable. Tap water is fine for cooking.

Do I need a power adapter for Malta?

Yes — Malta uses UK-style three-pin plugs (Type G). You’ll need an adapter. Forgot to bring one? They’re available in many shops across the island.

Is Public transport in Malta free?

Yes! If you follow an internship in Malta you are eligible for free Public transport. Check the route map and trip planner to plan your commute.

Is Malta safe for interns?

Malta is generally considered a very safe country with low crime rates. It’s a small island with a close-knit community. As always, use common sense — especially around the nightlife areas late at night.
